A TOUR OF HISTORIC MURALS OF HALE CENTER, TEXAS

On July 23, 2013, members from the LHS joined the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) and Texas Tech University Alumni Association's walking tour of the murals in Hale Center, Texas. The group met at 1:45 pm at the Library Plaza, half a block sound south Vista Bank on 701 Main Street, and began the tour at 2 pm. Many of the downtown buildings featured historical murals and the tour was expertly lead by one of the mural artists, Dr. Ray Freeman.

Below are images of a few of the lovely murals we enjoyed during the tour. Photographs by Lynn Whitfield.
